Stacey A. Missmer, ScD
Stacey Missmer is an endowed Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Michigan State University, Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Lecturer in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
With over 350 peer reviewed publications and a Google Scholar h-index >90, her body of work has identified in utero exposures, early life body size, and dietary intake as risk factors for endometriosis, and has established those with endometriosis as a high risk group for subsequent cancers and immune and cardiovascular diseases. She co-founded the Boston Center for Endometriosis, where she designed and leads the Women’s Health Study: from Adolescence to Adulthood (A2A). She is co-Principal Investigator of the World Endometriosis Research Foundation Endometriosis Phenome and Biobanking Harmonization Project (EPHect), and the United States-PI for the International Endometriosis Genomics Consortium. In May 2023, Dr. Missmer became President of the World Endometriosis Society.
